How to fill it in
Three ways, all ending at the same form. None is better than the others: the entry that comes out is identical whichever you choose.
Use your own key
If you have an API key, the browser sends the document to the model for you and fills the form in. Fewer steps, but you pay your provider for the reading.
Type it in
Straight to the form with nothing filled in. Best for a short record such as a person or an organisation, where typing is quicker than explaining.
Copy this, paste it into your AI with the document

- Open ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and start a new chat.
- Attach the document, paste the prompt, send it.
- Copy the whole reply and paste it into the box underneath.
Paste all of it. If the AI wrapped the answer in explanation or in a code block, that is fine.
Your key, your bill, your browser
The key you type here is kept in this browser only. It is never sent to us, never written to our servers, and never put in a web address. The request goes straight from your machine to the provider. Anyone else using this computer under your login could read it, so use a work machine.
Anthropic if you have a key from console.anthropic.com. OpenRouter if you have one key that reaches several companies' models.

This costs money, and the bill is yours. Your provider charges you for every page the model reads. A short pamphlet is usually a few rupees. A book of several hundred pages can be a great deal more. If in doubt, use the copied prompt instead.

Check and save
Everything an entry can hold is here. The essentials are open. The rest is folded away by heading, and most of it can stay empty. Where a machine filled something in, read it against the document before you save.
